Mercury announce Flipper’s as 2025 jersey badge sponsor

The Phoenix Mercury announced this week that Flipper’s, an active lifestyle apparel company inspired by roller skating, will be the team’s jersey badge sponsor for the 2025 season.
“The Mercury and Flipper’s share in the belief that sports can bring people together in many ways,” Phoenix Mercury and Phoenix Suns Chief Executive Officer Josh Bartelstein said in a press release on Wednesday. “This partnership unites two brands committed to business growth, community impact and delivering world-class entertainment.”
The Flipper’s logo will be displayed on the left shoulder of Mercury jerseys and the brand will be displayed on arena screens.
Flipper’s sQUAD will provide in-game entertainment with rolling skating performances.
The Mercury and Flipper’s will also work with Usher’s New Look, a non-profit organization founded by R&B artist Usher that aims to help under-resourced youth by tackling systemic barriers that prevent teens from graduating from high school and college.
The organizations will work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley to support youth in the greater Phoenix area.
What is Mercury’s new sponsor?
Flipper’s was founded by Liberty Ross and has a partnership with Usher. The brand is set to launch its first apparel line later this year.
The brand builds on Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace in Hollywood, which was founded by Ross’ father in 1979.
“Women in sports has been one of my biggest sources of inspiration for Flipper’s – from their undeniable athleticism and talent to their incredible sense of style and individuality,” Ross said. “I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and pride that Flipper’s is making history as a jersey badge partner for the 2025 Phoenix Mercury season.”
The team announced in 2024 a partnership with Cleveland Avenue that included a rotation of jersey badge sponsorships using brands under the company’s portfolio. Partake Foods was the 2024 sponsor.
